Shez, are you allowed a real treat for £3 more ? Invite the guy who bought that dead Caves St Pierre wine round the other day, enjoy for lunch or supper. Once you serve, you look up to see how it's going, and suddenly it's all gone.....

Ok, real Cote d'Or village wine. Then please follow up and see if your local can bag you a few of that St. Romain '05 parcel that I emailed to you.
Lift and polished high notes to the fruit. That wine is the starting point for elegance with finesse. Decant for one hour only before serving, oak is so subtle so integrated, such a beauty, visually as well, mouth feel and forest floor fungi complete. Excellent value for money.

We had a Babich Family reserve '07 (Cowslip vineyard near Malb) PN afterwards - same price as the Drystone, it was a clumsy oaf, no lift to the fruit, ham fisted oak by compare, red oxide matt in the glass - But perfectly acceptable of course.
