I've been drinking Gerard Bertrand Grand Terroir Montpeyroux 2012 as recommended by Mark at Majestic, Berkshire store, and very good it is for the money. £6.99 bin-end (was £10.49)
https://www.majestic.co.uk/Grand-Terroi ... x-zid09441 Montpeyroux is a small region in the coteaux du Languedoc protégée. I am impressed with the old vine, hot galettes ( large flats stones) and garrique (wild and parched shrub herbs) terroir personality. It really comes through very well. A full and robust wine, that is not too dry, but only 13.5% alc, which is pretty impressive given the depth and ripeness.
A very good call from Mark.
