Yesterday, my kind and funny husband, died. Let me get my breath back from looking after him, and I'll start giving you guys the attention you deserve.

He was my scaffolding and I now feel rather wobbly and prone to collapse. And I haven't even had any wine!

No need to reply.

I've only been here a few weeks, but I have been made most welcome by this recalcitrant lot and they already seem like old friends. This site is something of which you both could be proud. I have had so much pleasure and even a little knowledge from it's denizens. Your post this morning shocked me greatly even though I don't really know you. Please accept my deepest sympathy and may you be given the strength to get through the next while as unscathed as possible.

dear Mel,
I convey my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to you and your family at this time.

Forget us for now, please concentrate on yourself and your family. There is so much to do at this time.

There is of course a parallel running, all of the time - After an emergency call yesterday, my dear Sister and I kept an all night vigil last night for my father. Yet miraculously, he returned after 10 hours behind the veil to fight yet another day. Surreal, pythonesque and mystical. If I go off the radar for a while, you'll all know why.

Take care Mel - Keep strong
