As you'll have seen Mel and I have been tinkering. A new front page, a colour change and more on the top "menu" are the obvious changes.

There are also two new search facilities. As well as the site's original raison d'etre, the "offers search", we have introduced a tasting notes search. This was possible before (and still is), using the forum's search facility, but that isn't a very user friendly experience, so we've set up an easy to use search page. There is also an article seach (Mel's Weekly Columns having become Mel's Articles) which allows searching of the article pages. Again this was possible before, this time using the site search page, but that utilised Google and was therefore never up-to-date, and a bit flakey!

First impressions are very favourable Pete and Mel. I'm visitng the new site at 6.30 a.m. and for a few seconds thought I'd gone elsewhere.
I find the layout easier on the eye and more professional looking.
The TNs search is an excellent idea.

i also have 700 tasting notes to upload, but even at 1 a minute, it's a heck of a lot of time. had planned to do 20 per day, which will take just over a month. monday + tuesday = zero.

will try harder tomorrow.
