Hello everyone,

My name is Paul, I have been working closely with Mel in designing and building the new site. I've been so impressed with the concept of the site and Mel's hard work that I decided to take action and join the the site formally. Do I know much about wine? Well, like James May, I'm not a 'wine ponce', however I do know what I like. I've visited many a vineyard in California (Robert Mondavi, Beringer and many on the St Helena Highway near Calistoga). My reason for joining the site, to learn what is hot and what is not and read the opinions of greater mortals than myself. Also, importantly to see that the new site beds in ok. Of course, I have to ensure that I keep control of the conflict of interest between my employer, Evergreen Computing and my own personal time, but of course I will liaise with Mel regarding any issues. After all, its Mels baby, I'm merely a facilitator.[b][/b]

Let us know what little wine gems you've uncovered recently, what do you recommend? Do you have any favourites?

We tend to stick to discussing wines that are accessible via the high street in the UK and online, the holy grail being the best quality wine at the lowest price.

Having an interest in parsnips helps but its not essential

Yeah ok, as GK says - If you have an angle on a region or a particular style that you have explored to the n'th degree, we want to know about it. Pinot Grigio is banned (except The Ned, Waihopai River) so don't do that.
Otherwise, the last bloke I said Wecome to, never came back for more, funny that. If Shez asks you about Carneros pinot noir, say you dont know anything.

wondered if you could make a small tweek to the forum and that would be to have the Previous/Next Thread option at the bottom of a thread if possible please.
Would make life a little easier if I didn't have to keep scrolling back up to the top of the thread to be able to move on to the next one
