North of the Black Sea, not Caspian. Odessa type architecture.

East Romania, a ripe chardonnay / viognier or a blended country wine, with some spice. Employing new technology but retaining the orignal character. Probably rather decent for the price. Some old money of considerable proportion, or government funding has been invested there.

That is a very imposing property, archtecture and build of very solid stone, narrow windows, and constructed several centuries ago. The appearance of a fortress of some sort.

Moldova - MOsb. What do I know ? And a fine drop, you say ! Was this the 2012 vintage as shown on the label ?

Was Moldova a country in the old Bartholomew Atlas for the 'O' level sylabus in 1966 ?
My modern geography knowledge and of the dessolution of the USSR is useless.

Moldava IS east of Romania. Very chequered history. Known as Dacia by the Romans.
