Bannau Brycheiniog - perhaps, but it looks more like Cadair Idris, because the Beacons are less steep. Perhaps the shadows are deceptive? The square blocks in the foreground granite look more like the north of the country to me? You hid the bikes on the other side of the tunnel.

Ba, you were up bl**dy early on Sunday, I'm looking at the angle of those shadows. Sunday was a lovely day, may be the last proper summer day this year :(
You took that picture shorly after 7 am I think, may be the sun is behind you and it is 7:30pm, your back to the east ? Doesn't look like evening . . . there are no vehicles on the road. Or you nicked a gallery pic.

Ba, have you found a Maj store with the ARA select blocks 2012 yet?

Also, which tiny piece did you conquer? Hope you had plenty of fuel in your bike tanks! It's pretty damn steep around there, not too many filling stations around the place.

Oh Mr. D...too cunning by half

(and apologies to GK et al)...it was a photo off the web (2000 x 1500). On all my other sites, photos like that get reduced to fit. Didn't realise just how big twere.

This is the road built by unemployed miners between the wars. We were out of Treorchy en route to Ogmore Vale on the A 4061. The boys and girl luvvved it.

Petrol is a problem, we use (planned) fuel stops, often supermarkets.

No ARA as yet
