If we are talking about the prevailing, I am down wind from you, sailing on your starboard quarter. I notice Caversham crops up here, there are are few from Caversham that are top notch Fresh golden Oloroso can be delicious. Unfortunately, many bottles are opened for an occasion and then left in a warm dining room for days or weeks on end ! Open, enjoy, then put in the fridge or cooler until next time. |

I opened this last last night, very good indeed, it appeals to my sweet tooth with a nicely balanced savoury edge. There arent any 'off' flavours which can indicate a 'cheap' sherry with poor fruit, the alcohol is soft and balanced. I will buy it again. I put it back in the fridge, I doubt it will stick around for long either way. |

If you want to jump up a fair bit in quality, but only a little in price, how about the Waitrose Solera Jerezana Cream Sherry at £9.75 Recommending it on www.BirdswithBottle.com for an Off Piste Easter. |
