Some pretty good mixed case deals have appeared today. These should be viewed from your email link or under the Big Clearance Offer on their website. Good luck, most of these are from 45% - 50% off real retail prices that I have seen for some time. Enjoy your week-end. |

Well spotted Duncan I went and bought 2 of the finest limited cases which seem to be good value Was very tempted by the fine dining mixed case but have left it for now Goose/Bacchus, any temptation from the Sauvignon blanc case? |

An excellent choice Shezza, you will see what I picked on the QO admin alert posting I didn't take the fine dining case because I have very good stocks of champagne, and red & white burgundy, very very tempting though for folks who have very little of either - a good bargain. |

No. Sacred Hill MSB won gold but in the past it's always been quite rich and oily textured with a very subdued flavour. Even at sub £5 I'm not tempted. At the moment I am mostly drinking Saint Clair MSB 2013 which is oakless, leesless, lovely and blackcurranty but needs extra chilling due to unusually low acid. And Thatcher's Gold which is gorgeous slightly off dry cider with a fantastic apple and honey flavour. I began to find the cask ales too heavy going in the long forgotten heat of July. And lager had been rendered flavourless by the hoppy golden ales. Cider was the answer and Thatcher's is gorgeous. Proper cider drinkers would probably say that it's sweet and simple whilst Strongbow or Magners drinkers would probably complain that it's too dry and rich. I think it's proper cider lite. Suits me though. Enjoy your cheap fine wines. |

Off topic but sainsburys have Greenking IPA green and gold down to a pound Bought them last time they had this offer. I actually preferred the green label |

I would be impressed Ba but those 4 men are aged 9 26 35 and 4. Drink Thatcher's....live longer. The Co Op had 4 cans of Greene King IPA for £4. I poured 2 1/2 cans down the sink. Foul.....the bottled ( only ) IPA Gold tastes like Morland's Old Golden Hen. Only more subtle. |
