I thought I’d mention one particular chain of pubs/restaurants that offers 25% discount on your total bill, including drinks- which I think is quite a good deal. We ate out again last night at our local, the meal was excellent and we enjoyed a bottle of Nobilo SB, £15 on the list, £11.25 after discount. It’s not often you get discounts on drinks.

I believe this particular wine can be bought on the high street for anything from £6 (on offer) up to £9. I don’t mind paying a few pound extra to have it served at our table in a bucket of ice and felt the discount card offered very good value.
Brewer and Chef is the chain, there are plenty around. It’s worth considering if you are offered the same ‘gift’ by your own bank.
