Was in Morrisons this morning, now offering 33% discount on six bottle purchases.

There are plenty of standard offers still in place meaning there are some very good deals to be had including the Buxy 1er Cru Montagny for under £6.50. Anyone tried this?

Which vintage ? Mossys would stock it for Christmas because it says premier cru on the label

Cave de Buxy used to produce better Montagne than Blason, so that's a start

I've done Buxy's Montagne 2005, 2008 & 2009. For indifferent years, Montagne can be a bit dull. Premier cru in Montagne means more than 11.5% Alc from free running juice, see previous posts on this matter. Not much eh !

When Majestic had a clearance offer on the Buxy 2010 (same price point), I tried to score but it was all sold out by the time I got there. 2010's would drink well for a while, and mature as they should. The 11's and 12's don't know. Montagne '06 was little more than french chardonnay, they said.

Thanks Dunc, I did'nt clock the vintage, it was early and I was in a rush, will have another look.

I'm interested in the Ara Pathway Pinot Noir for £5.35, previously Tom's WOTW over on WP, I need to go back and take a closer look.
