This is an import, car boot, tax paid in France.

Syrah, grenache, carrignan and other indigenous varieties. An ancient property

Wonderful value, on the Oz Clarke scale you probably get 4 euro of wine and pay 25 cents tax !
A super wine, loads of fruit amazingly fresh and alive, good cut to the palate with grip, just the right amount of oak, real depth, yet balanced with a sweet middle palate, and good length. Absurdly good value. Still alive and grippy on the 2nd Day. Could age for a few years. Consumed with trad very crusted thin base pizza (proper style), black olives and sun dried tomatoes - fab punch to the palate, cuts through with peppery power, and then that sweet lift :D :D .
Won the Aix de Provence gold medal again. Guide de Hachette - dont know how many stars.

If in France - look out for this one on the Chateau Virant in gold print label, (not the Gipsey Legend cuvee).

Further looking up to find the actual bottle
5.70 Euro a bottle for a box of 6. Therefore say 4E for the wine 1E for logistics and glass and label, 70 cents for tax.

I was possibly misinformed by cellartracker as to les cepages. Looking at the actual mix and age of the vineyards, I totally understand the structure, elegance and super lift on the palate:

Cépages: 53% Cabernet, 24% Syrah, 23%Grenache
Millésime: 2011
Palmarès 2012 : Couronne OR Concours des Coteaux d'Aix en Provence 2011 : Médaille ARGENT au CGA de Paris Couronne OR au concours des Coteaux d’Aix en Provence 2010 : 87/100 au Guide Gilbert & Gaillard.

The GG points are not necessarily for the 2011 vintage, for me a score of 90 would not be over stated for this 2011 vintage

Extra virgin olive oils as well.
