I had hitherto thought the northern Greeks were responsible for teaching the Romans how to produce wine. The farmers in the fields were then instructed to produce a suitable crop. The Romans were very quick to employ the expertise and knowledge from other cultures, and put them to their own uses; then overpower them. A demonstration of masterful agility and physical power.

Then Nero and a general decline in moral standards leading to cheating, deception and debauchery - do all civilizations end in this way ? Don't answer that.
