Has anyone decided what they plan to enjoy on the big day and over the festive period?

Ha ha,

1 for certain - maybe.....

The last 97 Cadillac (import) needs to be started, otherwise she could breakdown next year. Feminine and flouncy day wear. There may be only 3 of us taking a ride on her though.

It is a Q. of going thru those that are due - Eh. And, not too important, as to disturb the main jolly and the GCs pressie's !

Crumbs a little to early for me to decide.
First Christmas off in 15 years, finish 24th straight through to the 2nd of Jan.
always worked to save cash and my waist from expanding.

Having all this time off is going to be hard work !! 2 days planned in the Peaks walking though.

this is what a gold 1997 Caddy looks like

If you're ever in France buy some of these, Flavour and weight, just like a slightly lighter, or lesser Barsac, except much less dosh. Cadillac, the 2nd smallest appellation in the country me thinks. The producers there, except Fayau are all small time hard working sorts, who need a bit of support. Look for the vintages that are rated for Barsac, which is a stone's throw away on the posh side of the river bank.

There you go, a plug for Cadillac

Wine Advocate #201 June 2012 David Schildknecht - Caraway, white pepper, green tea, and mint pungently set the nose and palate tingling in Crochet’s 2010 Sancerre Le Chene, with lemon, lime and kumquat offering a juicy but almost severely zesty matrix on an expansive palate that practically glows and vibrates with zesty yet rich intensity. Chalky, salty, and somehow crystalline mineral elements add to a finish of shimmering and shimmying length. This dazzlingly interactive show should have at least a ten year run, perhaps even surpassing Crochet’s wonderful 2008, which is today even more beautifully kaleidoscopic today than when I attempted to wax eloquently about it in issue 190

I have two of these and two of Crochet's basic at a couple of quid less. I haven't tried either.

Anybody got a rec for the nicest sub £30 fizz. From anywhere. There must be something tastier than Lindauer's Special Reserve

There may be a few of these still lying around in Majestic, worth calling.

When last in my branch there were rows of vintage champagnes from 96 onwards, I'd recon some of this may be at remote South Wales stores

You'll get quite a bit of change from your Budget if they sell it to you at the 2009 launch price !

Am working on the video for Birds with Bottle for what to drink at Xmas, which includes two of my favs. It's a 6 wine programme, rather than the usual 4. Out next Thurs.
