1x Villa Maria Wairau Reserve MSB 2011 and 1x 2012 both £9.99/bottle
And finally 1 Grebet Pouilly Fume 2011 £12.99 recommended over the much more expensive Ladoucette 2009 which was £25 by the friendly chappie in the Cardiff store.
The Pouilly Fume' has a wonderful traditional label - that font goes back for decades for PF as ya know - you must say what you think of the PF 11's at this level.
I'm on a different SB tonight.
Rustenberg 2010 SB.
the winemakers description on the back label is for best NZ Marborough - written by a marketing man, because it is mainly bull poopie.
The wine: A very round mouthfeel for this ripe Sauv Blanc, flavours of green fig, mange-toote pea pod and asparagus stem, against a backdrop of sweet grass and a touch of chamomile. Edited from another TN to my interpretation of the flavour.
Texture of cheaper Pessac actually - White Graves is the closest I can associate this with the mouth feel, probably good with a vegetarian starter,
A bit expensive for what it is.
