and GK's eagle eye

That Fragoso '10 chard from Mendoza is a nice little number. There is a sappy Elder note after the first flush on 1st opening, which is interesting, it does pass after some opening time, if you don't want it. There is a creamyness on the back palate, like they say !

Nice n'fresh, balanced acidity with the style, and not too soft, light at 12.5% alc, so it's a good glugger, and most worthy. Pale gold, with a very pale almond green hue.
When open for 24 hours, a drop of minerality seems to appear, and the ripe grapefruit comes in as well. The M&S selling TN is about right. Very pleased with this bargain, and with the double disco - I'm chuffed.

Well spotted GK, thanks. Cheers and enjoy your week-end folks.

Glad you got some D, I thought I was alone with that one. We just finished a bottle with dinner, it develops a richness on the second day, nice acidity too, a perfectly pleasing glugger with a hint of class.

So am I, Just got another bottle out of the loft, an overflow area when stocks are high at this time of year, and I can walk into the roof space from a low door in the bedroom. My Misses is out with her teacher clan, I'm doing breaded plaice, courtesy of M&S, with some home grown veg, so this will be perfect. November has been very mild down here, we have tomatoes still ripening in a cold greenhouse.

My Loft temperature is perfect at the mo; this wine at loft temp, drinks like a decent Petite Chablis  It does . "A hint of class" , as you have said.

I should have taken 3 cases at that price, but was also seduced by the November case of the month, which went OOS on Friday night, the 4th, I got in there in the nick of time.

Cheers - thanks again, glad I followed you.
