Waitrose customer asked my opinion for a wine to go with Smoked Salmon (fine) and piccalilli (arghhh). Offered an opinion which seemed to be poo-pooed. Customer called over wine staff who, unaware of my involvement suggested the exact same wine. Dix points... |

Does anyone drink a white with piccalilly ? Specially the commercial stuff - Who gets all the best jobs ?
