Please Sir, me Sir, I've had it.
Nothing in my notes, and no memory. Deaf nut in last 18 months though. Mel liked it.

I'm buying some wine for refreshments after an important, yet private & personal, and a small event on Tuesday, Summer solstice.

I plan to buy a few Nautilus as well as some chablis. I'm having problems in finding the right pinot noir for late afternoon supping. I just may have to rob my own stocks to satisfy my close friends and my family.

We'll see.

I've often pondered picking up a bottle but stocks at my local have always been pretty low and priority always went to JE and then Vav.
Worth a try at £8.50 I guess and IIRC they still have some 2009 vintage on the shelves

Going off original topic.... Dunc, Have you thought of giving the Nic Potel Cote de Nuits Village a go for your PN option ?
Are you intending on holding on to the Labore Roi Volnay 05 for a while longer?

It is for a private and personal Wake

I didn't buy the Nautilus MSB in the end - Mark said it was a shadow of the VAV '09 and well behind VAV 10 and Goldwater.

I bought, of course Shez - Yes , I bought some Nick Potel's old vine Cote De Nuits villages '08.

Are you intending on holding on to the Labore Roi Volnay 05 for a while longer? Yes, the Ugly duckling is coming rouund, but I only have 2 left - Do you have any to sell me ? At the old price :)

Also I bought one Laboure'-Roi Volnay 08 today to try. A Maj customer said:
"When you take out the cork, that's stamped Volnay Premier Cru Les Mitans 2006. Odd. Well it's certainly a better wine than you usually get for a village Volnay" So... I want to see if it is the cork or the bottle label or the wine they have mixed up. But much depends on the batch number.
I have Volnay Les Mitans '05 in stock. The one I have is from a domaine that was known as "En l'Ormeau", but was so rarely seen that it has been subsumed under the name of the more famous "Mitans".

We'll see. I have an idea what 1er Volnay tastes like, but not one so young
