Great TN's Mel - Thanks again for this. Glad you got some Meerlust merlot in the nick of.....

Glad you did the Mâcon-Fuissé 2009, Domaine Thibert Père et Fils. You're right for DTP et Fils, acquire now for Yum enjoyment later.

I'd been impressed with Thibert and bought half a case of his Saint Veran '07 two yrs ago for similar money, which is drinking very nicely now.
The Saint Veran had a bit more oak treatment for the fermentation (I think maybe 20% ) and was 'Non Filtre' so is now throwing a trad light sediment.

Where else can you buy an '09 white southern burg with a nice touch of oak, made in the time honoured style for a tenner ?

I was sorry that they didn't have any of this left for you to taste:- Fleurie 2009, Domaine Des Nugues. Was available to order.

Some very interesting stuff in that Tasting - "but the Auslese is in a whole different league" .....Time to make a booking :)
