So how many cases you buying then.

I might buy a case of the 09 TF Tingleup at £4. something or other.

on the shelves the Steillage is either 2009 or 2010 vintage, think the website may be incorrect or just hasn't been updated

was actually the only Riesling I didn't pick up the other week in store as all the the discounts were for 25% (rather than the now 44+%) and seemed minimal at just over £1 a bottle disco so didn't mind paying full px at a later date

Instead I bought a bottle of each of the following all at around 25-27% off(all now ~47% off..d'oh)

Cono sur Reserva Riesling
TF Tingle Up Riesling
TF Marlborough Autumn Pick Riesling

Steillage rocks!!!!

Firstly, as far as i'm concerned, GK, is the finest parsnip grower in all of Parsnip Land. And if anyone ever says otherwise i'll poke them with my prize leek.

Also, in 50 years time, when I finally make an Elderflower Champagne worth drinking I shall look north and east and doff my cap in the direction of the West Midlands to the man who inspired me to make my own wine.

That said..

..fuff me this wine is sweet !

It's like beginners wine. The Anjou wine you got in a box for £4 a pop when you went to Calais. The rose was a blend of grolleau gris and the beaujolais grape gamay and was as sweet as strawberries in syrup. The white was made from chenin and was about 10% alc with a flavour of apples dipped in sherbet.

This is like white Anjou.

Maybe the winemaker didn't mean for us to drink so soon. But Tesco change the vintage so bloody fast on their rieslings that it's this or nothing.

The 09 Finest pinot gris from Alsace on the other hand is an absolute delight. Like a nutty Southern white Burgundy with a dash of gewurz like lychee.

Dry too.

Lovely stuff

Well done the Wolves....might still see you next year.

All down to the last day. It was my daughters birthday yesterday, the house was full of screaming, swivel eyed kids with cake shooting out their noses. I sneaked off and locked myself in the shed to listen to the game.

Ive only ever tried the '07 of this wine. The '07 was universally praised and is a very good wine, and true to the style. I would happily take more.

I've just received 6 more Steilage. I also regularly take the TF Pinot Gris (and Riesling) but I've some Waimea (Nelson) PG left for the nonce.

Yeah, I'm trying to get my head round that statement ?

Hmnnn let me think - Left for the nonce implies, increasing the level of the Avon river ?

Guys.
Last day of he tesco wine festival
Just to make you aware that in my local Tescos store it's 25% off any 6 and that includes all the wines on offer
Just walked out with 6 bottles for £26
Worth a last dash before midnight if you have time with many of the sold out online offers still available on the shelves

Yep, I have picked up a mixed 6 which includes this, the tingleup and a couple Mel has recc'd on Bw/B. I was wrong about the TF Sancerre though, that's not on double dip in store.
