Yeah, Tom Cannavan writes a TN that I can understand.

Hope it does the job for you GK. From the TN, the wine sounds right-up your glugging street.

Talking Chilean and remembering now. The Secarno PN reserve '08 from Marks and also on offer back then, was one of the better NWPNs I have tried. The Secarno fitted Tom's TN quite well

Opened last night, very NW PN, lots of smoke & cherry, medium acidity, a little thin tho, didnt blow me away, possibly a year past its best.

Will see what its like on the second day.

The 09 sauvignon blanc is lovely but all my Co-Ops have run out.

I should have bought a couple of cases. £4.99 was silly money.

Disappointed in this - didn't have sufficient NW Pinot character - glad they only had the one bottle - won't be searching out more.

DB, did you see Shezza's post for the TF Yarra valley offer at £7.43 per bottle, although £2.50 more, yeah sorry.....I feel sure that this wine would have had enough NW character for you, and a great bargain for that fuller with oak style, as well.

Sadly, that offer is over.

Dry and thin on the second day. Shame, you get the hint of a decent PN in there somewhere, some nice background notes but the finish is poor and the alcohol begins to burn after a while.

Goose- I'll give the SB a go, will look for the '09.

Duncan
Yes I got a couple of bottles - can't remember if I had seen Shezza's post or just based on my previous experience of this wine.
