Just had a great weekend camping near Ross on Wye, capsized our canoe on the river (wife and daughter very wet and not impressed
) and got smashed at a sausage and cider festival. Fantastic weather.
All in all a cracking weekend.

Wonderful welcome, excellent road surfaces ( paid for by speeding fines?) St Arvan's today and coffee at Tintern. Good homely food, lovely people. Biker paradise, but the Feds really hate us. |

My favourite place in the South Eastern corner is Chepstow. One of the best castles in all of the UK. A racecourse. Plenty of pubs and places to eat. A bit grotty compared to say the Vale of Glamorgan or some of the Gloucestershire villages but it suits me. GrottyGogs |

Two v.good chippies. Just realised that I've gone through, and stopped in, Chepstow dozens of times but never been down to the castle. Never seen it. Will go next time. |
