I have spent most of the w/e delving into a pal's computer which had aquired several horrid bugs, enough to shut it down. On cracking it I needed comfort and reward. Reward was my best eau de booze, Comfort was The Seeker's. Nothing short of classical except maybe the Beatles at their best or Mercurey at his best. Judith is awsome, timing presensce, voice...magnificent. A World of our own Indeed...Little to match her in 45 yrs |

Ive recently been listening to Eva Cassidy's Songbird album, simply love her voice. I'll see your Judith and raise you an Eva. |

Truely beautiful Which wine would you sip, while you're being transported ? |

Wine? Something etheral, delicate, a soft, aged Chablis perhaps. |

Not much "sipping" around these parts. Can't be doing with Eva I'm afraid, I put her into the contrived wailing box with that Charlotte girly. I polished off the remaining half of Lindauer BdB then settled into an Alsace Pinot Gris. |

Contrived is not a word I would associate with Eva Cassidy, her voice is as natural as rain. |

That's weird. I really couldn't listen to that for more than a few seconds...sets my teeth on edge. |

Have been contemplating this quite seriously. Judy Durham is natural, and could, with a little help, convert to opera. This other wom is type-cast, synthetic. Not in the same street. |

This is also one of the final "proper" bass renditions. Shortly to be followed by Jet Harris / Tony Meeham. |
