Absolutely incredible images here-

Watch the clip.

I’m reading a book on the history of our planet at the mo, one interesting fact I learned comes to mind- If the surface of our planet was completely flat, the whole of the surface would be 4 kilometres under water.

Appalling destruction. I've never seen anything like the sheer size and force of this 10 meter Tsunami near the epicentre.

I sincerely hope that the international alerts are reaching all peoples who occupy the coastal areas around the pacific rim.

A reducing 2 meter Tsunami as it dissipates, even over low lying islands many 100's of miles away will be devastating for those inhabitants. We hope and trust that they have time to get onto higher ground.

National email service here, delayed by an hour this morning. Reuters UK Financial reporting very late.
