Typical GK - What only 4 quid ! I'm jealous now. Pursuit of different NW pinot http://www.langtons.com.au/Tools/Winery ... ryId=20890 That pinot sounds interesting to me. Adelaide Hills, cooled by onshore winds. Let us know - please |

Will do. I was initially put off by the age but the rear label recommends aging and so does the winemakers TN. Just reaching its peak? We shall see. |

Well, I’ve never come across a PN that tastes of elderberry, until now. Powerful nose, sweet and earthy, quite a mouthful, rich and sweet with some bitter cherry, dry elderberry in the finish with oak showing, a touch hot at 14%. An interesting and intense wine, one of those wines that will taste different every time you open a bottle. I would buy one or two more out of curiosity. I may not have given it justice as my taste buds were a little shot from the previous evenings beer festival. I dont think there is any aging potential left in this '05 tho as it fell flat on day two. |

Thanks GK, I would'ave liked to have tried it. That elderberry earthy bitter cherry and oak propped pinot sounds like a Saint Romaine emulator. GK, it had a different personality, and for that, it gets some points in my book. 14%..... too strong and intense - Pity |
