Sorry, I dont drink coffee. Tea? I love scones with tea, the buttery drying texture of a scone goes perfectly with tea. |

I am open to persuasion that scones are the perfect accompaniment to tea. Especially with a good jam and clotted cream. However the question was what is the perfect snack with coffee and the correct answer is .... Twiglets* * Only applicable if you like twiglets. |

Love twiglets, but with coffee...? Surely sweet rather than savoury. therefore a biscuit (personal preference applies) has to be the correct answer |

Depends if you take sugar, I suppose. I have one spoon and twiglets are a perfect match. Try it. |

Don't drink coffee, but know the taste. Buttered crumpets? |

Tea also works well with chocolate fingers, nibble each end off and use it to suck up a little tea (like a straw). As soon as you feel the tea reach your mouth, stop sucking and pop the finger in your gob. You can thank me later. |

Also works with [corner-to-corner] but if you're too slow there will be dramatic melt-down |

I may be a wine novice, but I like to think I'm on much safer territory when it comes to matching up a brew. Coffee = a Tunnocks caramel wafer. Tea = fish, chips and mushy peas Clearly I'm a simple soul at heart... |

Nobody seems to be differentiating between Earl Grey, builders', jasmine, etc. F & Cs with MPs are only good with builders' although I understand they're also excellent with fino sherry. Off to Jerez for three days. Intense tasting and then an exam!! I love University Challenge but nothing beats a tasting exam. |

Proper non-ponsey tea has only one purpose in life. That is to assist in the consumption of huge quantities of chocolate digestives. Talking about digestifs... |
