Mel, GK is being mean again. Make him stand in the corner and drink Fosters.

I know that in the opinion of most wine lovers red is far more complex and sophisticated but I just can't get into it.

I even got seriously fed up with the Cabernet Franc that I thought was quite nice.

The chalky note started to overpower the fruit and became hard work.

Lucklily sauvignon goes well with absolutely everything.

Apart from most foods

Nothing better than a cool, crisp white wine in the Summer after a long, hot day at work.

Nothing better than a deep, rich red wine in front of the fire in the Winter whilst pondering lifes challenges.

Surely room in this world for both? Think if it was Desert Island Wines I'd be going for red though.

A soft, lightly chilled red with dinner on a warm summer evening.
A full bodied white with a roast chicken dinner on a cold winters day.

Then there's rose, which can be used for cooking all year round.

Like you GK, I just cant get into rose at all.
white or beer is far better option for a refreshing drink on a warm day
