Anonymous Love in Berlin

As Berlin snow fell silently, in gloom
Confetti, coating taupe and frozen ground
Superlatives stormed round that hotel room
And rhythmic pleasure swelled, but without sound.

It felt clandestine; something we should hide
An eyebrow raised, a surreptitious smile
An inhalation, deep and satisfied
Surpassing past encounters by a mile.

In different rooms, if others did as we,
It was in name alone, it won’t compare
We stood apart, those unknown men and me
Our breath came slow, our senses so aware.

Our rhythm then slowed further, almost stopped
The waitress, quite unsure what had occurred
The volume in the room around us dropped
A passer by, quite certain that I’d purred.

We peaked as one and then we peaked again,
With eyes closed in a room of maybe 30
Our edges blurred, me and my unknown men
By pleasure, both quite fresh and faintly dirty.

A love that makes reality retreat
This love distorts the focus of my mind
It tilts my axes till they barely meet
Then leaves me spent, but radiant, behind

An unnamed love, yet intimately mine
My love is German Riesling, from Spätlese
Late harvest and quite stimulating wine
To Trockenbeeren – fucking great - auslese

Brilliant suspense and poise, and then the ascent to the summit :D

Thirty gentle and assenting nods - you know that mona lisa smile when one so beautifull reaches that pinnacle of flavours. It is the reverse of the enigma, because the smile breaks-out into satisfaction with a touch of jubilation.
