Is it likely to be a good one, Dunc ?
Not wasted on you at all Mr G. I would have grabbed those for 8 quid always worth the risk - they can go back if poor.
OK - Laboure Roi - Their wines from Cotes d'Or villages are very
hit and miss. I've had reasonable Gevery Cham '05 for 14 quid and rather dry non-fruity Volnay for 10 quid.
The '06 was a fresh vintaqe in Meursault, with the ordinary village wines, they were generall wines with extra bright acidity and less body, described as racey. You may like it....If it is OK,
If it is a
miss, then it will be reasonable Bourgogne blanc, nothing more ! A bit short and without much minerality.
Go for it, do not leave on the rack. This '06 should be drunk now, because at this Lab Roi quality level, that freshness, that is so typical of the '06
will not last.
