Praise and Blame,

Released today

"It knocks me out just listening to it" "and that's the god's honest truth"
says Tom, who was 70 earlier this month.

and that's the god's honest truth kinda conjures-up the Wesh Valley's and the men from the pit quenching their thirst. Cant remember the proper Welsh breweries.

Goose, name a few please, just for the record.

There's lovely !!

SA Brains is the only brewery that sells right across Wales

Image

I am not a fan but I do love some of the more floral almost gewuztraminer like ales made by a small Dyfed brewery called Pen - Lon. There's a brewery near you in Marlow that makes a very similar beer.

I think I might be a woman

Mr G, I'm impressed with your knowledge of this beer. The name of the beer company is the clue.

The launch of the Rebellion Beer Company in 1993, marked the revival of Marlow's illustrious brewing tradition dating back over 240 years. The town's position in the chalky Chiltern Hills means that the local water used for brewing is high in the minerals and salts essential for producing high quality and distinctive traditional ale.

The brewery is at Bencombe Farm in Marlow Bottom.

Ive enjoyed many a pint of Brains in Wales over the years, I like Watkin's Braf too.

One of our fave pubs in Wales for a decent pint, good meal and great location is The Sloop Inn at Porthgain. A super spot to recharge the battery after some serious coastal path walking.

A directory of the Real Ale brewers in the UK - Quaffale

A few of these are suburban backroom one man and his dog brewers, others are Farmhouse and Publican brewers. Look up your County and locate the little guys doing their thing.

The photograph was sent to me by Bacchus. It's his all in one Welsh survival kit for when he comes to Miskin. The Wales rugby shirt is to convince the local hooligans that he's Welsh and the boobs are wine in the bag jobs. The left boob is a chardonnay semillon blend and the right boob is a home made torrontes Toilet Duck mix.

Well in honour of our motor heritage, I'm off to Siverstone to see the historics (vintage racers) bombing around. Yeah, and in the pits where very hot castrol R, nitro and rubber are the pungency nuances to be enjoyed.

Leather and goggles for the old boys, tail planes and spoilers on the 80's Le Mans cars
See ya.

Just returned from a pootle over the water and around some Monmouth B roads.
Histrionics at Silverstone sounds good.

Am sliding of to Pembrokeshire early in Aug for a week, all alone. No kids, no adult, phone off. Just me, a posh hotel, some spa treatments and a couple of paperbacks. Hopefully some windswept and largely empty beaches as well.

Mm mm mm.

Will hum as I pass Newport, Newport, Newport.
