Had girls to lunch today and my BF bought me a CD by the Baseballs, called Strike. I'd heard them being interviewed on the radio and mentioned it to her. There can be nobody with a better BF.

It is fabulous music and has really brightened up my Friday night, along with a glass of Ch de Ligny.

A touch of Elvis, mixed with The Beautiful South. Am jumping around like something possessed - and no, have not found myself going round in circles, despite imbalance.

I disagree. Same style, but the Germans beat the boys from ?Leicester. Was planning some light planting of bedding plants, just with my left hand, but the rain is coming down very steadily, as if it means it. Perhaps tomorrow.

Shoddy Waddy - agree with Mel - pretty naff, pants.... too much velvet and quiff, sorry Ba, not my scene. Prefered John Mayall and the Blues Breakers

We need to get ours out as well ! Yeah, what's that then ? Well, bedding in the borders actually, and that's not finding a drunk in ya front garden on Saturday morning !
Mel, I think it will dry up this late afternoon, in which case the soil condition will be just right for setting them out without having to wash them out with a watering after planting. Yeah, just right, so if you can manage it, could be rather satisfying for you.
Use a dibber for the hole and the damp soil should stand up enough for you to drop the plant in the bottom with one hand, and then firm with the same arm when you've set out say 1/2 dozen at a time. The ground already damp will absorb water well, from a light sprinkling from a light watering can.

Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be ok :)

AAAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhh...I prefer RICK Mayal to that stuff. Oh and yes, I do still have some blue suede shoes.

Bacchus, you are extraordinarily contrary and regularly wrong. However, you are absolutely right just slightly more.

Done half the bedding. Pathetic amount, but will finish off tomorrow.

That's pretty good, no flowers open yet here. Pretty early Ba, you must have been potting up in to intermediates by mid Feb, did you sow in January ?

Runner bean flowers just forming here on the lowest fork, which is good for us, and Desire' red main crop just flowering, although Jack had a go at the tops 3 weeks ago. That ground frost was weird, it only flowed here and there

Impressed Mr B, impressed.

Thanks Mr D., but not earned.
I have no idea and no garden. Bought 2 different variety pots from garden centre and bathed them in the radiant warmth and light of my halo and personality. Several flowers on both.

I have a small green tomato, the size of, well, hmm, a large pearl earring, as per vermeer/chevalier.

Half way house. Anyone who doesn't like this lot has my permission to get a single to Beachy Head.
