Discontinued

Sacred Hill Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

Verde Ca' Ruptae Verdicchio

Tahbilk Marsanne

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Clos L’Oratoire Blanc

Sacred Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah

Alba de Murviedro

Maycas del Limari Reserva Syrah

Château Petit Védrines

Vinalba Torrontes

Taste the difference New Zealand Pinot Noir

Maycas del Limari Reserva Syrah

Jacobs Creek Steingarten Riesling

Jacob's Creek St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon

Macon Lugny

In fact, the Jacob's Creek Steingarten Riesling is quite good, but I may only buy one bottle a year, so fair enough.

Q. & A. How deep is the disco on these ? Anyone ?

Château Petit Védrines - Sauternes, on cellar tracker for the '04 many folks thought it was a mix of dunlop plimsoles (new rubber glue rather than sweaty) and some apricot.
One guy on the '07 was seduced tho

Château Tahbilk, their Marsanne from OZ, the Gourborne (spelling) valley, was reconned to be pretty good by me and other folks....not tried their recent vitages.

What Mel said of the 05 - relevant if similar wine on new vintage
Sacred Hill Barrel Ferm Hawkes Bay Chard 05 Morrissons 8.49

Very appealing oaky smell. Not OTT but easily detectable. Tasty, oaky and delicious. Slightly watery towards the end but good. £8.49

Seen a few of these not shifting at the Sainsbury's near the station I park at.

might case the joint to see whether discounts have been applied and to what level if so...

Will post any findings

Ba,
know you're a Torrontes fan but I bought a couple of the Vinalba's on the previous 25% offer and was disappointed with the 1st bottle I tried.
I have 1 left but don't hold much hope for it being bottle variance
Incase you were thinking of giving it a stab, I'd advise you avoid unless it's going dirt cheap

I don't know if they are being discounted, just discontinued. Please report any sightings.

Time for a chilled glass of La Gitana, I think, and then wall to wall TV. I need a good lie down in front of something amusing as have been prodded and poked, but not in a good way, all afternoon. Still have Ashes to Ashes to watch.

Perfect.

PS, will be off air from Thursday morning until probably Tuesday. That's me, and not the site. Look after each other, and no fighting.

Nothing whatsoever of interest in my 2 Sains.

Only saw the torrontes (still 7.99) and maycas del limari (syrah and SB both with 25% off at 6.75 from 8.99) on the shelves

bought the last 2 mdl syrah on 2008 vintage

don't know whether the discount is because of the discontinuation or just that time of the year....
