Over-priced by around £10?

Read this before you buy.

Tesco are selling a mixed case of 3x Jackson Estate Stich '09 & 3x CB '08 for £12 a bottle.

I think the Stich sells for around £11 in Waitrose (full price), therefore the CB works out at around £13 a bottle plus delivery.

Link.

If you have a Tesco voucher to use you could possibly get the price down to under £10 a bottle, now that might be worth a punt.

GK.....Yep,

They have repeated a deal that they ran last Autumn, when they were moving the Mavern 2007 MSB with the blue label in that case. I think it was 3 CB and 9 M.

I didn't want the '08 CB, since I had read reports that it was disappointing versus the 4 star 2007, but may have tried the Mavern '07 (I think it is Mavern) because I would risk some age to acquire that '07 vintage

Instead I scored 2009 CB at Sunday Times on a 24 hour offer on 28th December, along with the Dk David Kapstein '09.

The '09 CB @ £13 (£39 for 3 bottles) The Dk was a TL/STWC parcel, at a very special offer price.

I've written a tasting note for the Dk, The CB '09 is being given integration time until at least July.

I think CB '09 is worth £13.

The CB '08 may have improved with bottle age ??? Who knows......But, it would only be folks like us to know. The popular press do Nick Clegg stuff on wines

My '08 had a pic of an old shed on it.

However, of the Maven '07 vintage:

GK, Mel is not that wide of the mark, whilst I don't think vintage cars or whatever were on the Maven label (the brand name spelling is correct now)..... The 1st Maven '07 that I know, was nevertheless released with 4 or 5 different label designs. Tesco said in their 2008 and 09 offers, that buyers could receive a case of 6, with up to 3 different labels
