The Lugny looks interesting.

Oyster Bay on offer? there's a suprise. Expect to see more of that.

Seems a very meagre selection for this celebration....

I had a glass of the 2006 vintage of that Loius Latour Macon-Lugny last week. It was the house wine of a pub-restaurant in Harlech and I was considerably impressed. Esp since I am not a fan of Chardonnay yet this has so many layers of flavour.

GK, please get to this. For a fiver, we want to know .

The Majestic write up appears to be completely OTT..... Otherwise my local would have told me.

The Babbich reserve at £9.99 from STWC was disappointing.

All ears.

I've been drinking Bella Woose '07 for weeks now, finished the 3rd, waiting for you, is like waiting for goddo

"Balls over the side" Aye ....ha ha...just cos it's a fiver. You're a pinot luvver, so don't get too upset, when it's a jammy little sod.

8 knicker at Maj
A fiver at Tesco
£2.99 at Homewares
What at GK's ?

I'll tell U something bout Bella what's it:

Yeah ! and BTW, there is bottle variance at Bellawoose, nout to do with corks, '07 has excellent cork. Ist 2 were more Oz like, 3rd more Rhone like. Ist two bought 2 weeks earlier, 3rd to 6th bought as a "find the last 07's if you can" suspect different tanks and diff mix. Both good

You've had yours for so long, you've probably got the Ozzy one

I think too many comparisons are made in the wine world, sometimes you have to judge a wine on its merits. I’m guessing this will be made in a fresh, ripe, new world pinot style with ample sweet cherry fruit and a soft, creamy mouth-feel. I’ll look for balance and how quick the flavours fall away. I like a bit of jam, I have a sweet tooth, however I don’t like the bitterness you get from over-extraction, the alcohol never feels integrated and the natural sugars feel jaded.

If OB is looking to off-load stock and this makes the grade, I’m happy to make room in the rack for it.

Well.....That all sounds swimmingly good GK - Yeah, even I'll fill one boot for a few chilled cherry aides in the garden this summer.

Probably a deal only available in Lichfield Tesco, haven't looked on the site

You are trusted  .......Tell us tonight. Please
