This is good, really, as it means you're all busy having a good time. Lovely evening at friends. Champagne first, then Louis Jadot Cotes de Beaune 06 with wild mushroom tartlet, and some LJ Meursault 07 and Hamilton Russell Chard, then very plain plaice, with limey hollandaise, net pots and green beans and the same whites. Then, one of my favourite puddings. Rhubarb, ginger and creme fraiche, with sugar on top, grilled to crunchiness. God, it's a good mixture. Then soft, falling over the plate French cheeses.

With Ch Musar.

What could be better?

And good company.

This is the first time I've looked at a PC since Friday afternoon. My weekends are very busy.

My mother-in-law is in Ireland so me and the wife stayed over at her place last night (in the town) and went out for a bit of a pub crawl and something to eat.

Im off out for a bike ride now, up to plot to do a bit of work.

We talked about luck, didn't we ? A little of it you may augment, with thought and effort. Yet we thank the gods for sparing us a sunami or earthquake of course.

Louis Jadot Cotes de Beaune 06 with wild mushroom tartlet, Yum, yum, yum.

My dear Misses makes a filo tartlet with brown skinned rooms, some ceps if available or waitrose ones in the small jar, caramelised red onions and herbs. which is also exquisite as a starter. Last time she treated us - our wine buddies from up country were staying over. I served one of these:

Very sunny AUXEY-DURESSES 2003 Domaine Christophe Mary

deeelicious simplicity for us, skillfull work from Mrs D and Christophe Mary as well.

My dear old m/c has finally given up the ghost. Spent 2 days trying to resuscitate. Passed it to my "man".
Have retrieved my internet, but have lost my e-mail. Bah!.

I know how you feel. My Outlook disappeared in Jan and we fought for a couple of weeks to retrieve back ups, and did succeed, but it's awful because you can't email people because when you type, for example, "lar" into your To: bar, larry, labaume, laure and laura don't pop up with their email addresses.

Are you going for a new machine? Is it time?

Most unfortunate for both of you.

You have my contact number, so there is no reason, other than hardware failure, that you should not have your sys running reasonably with a short call with S.

I know, you don't want to take advantage or be indebted. Good luck with it Ba, as Mel says tho, you may need to modernise because Web software, and all that Java mess about stuff (to enhance some people's experience) will break your motherboard with too many instructions, or wear out the bearing in you hard drive as it dodges about trying to run these xbox influenced programmes.

That, and this are from the "new" m/c. Built from two others, and much bigger and faster than the old one. However, it retains the Outlook Express p/w of the previous owner and won't let me in.
Once there is a decision on old Gertie, I shall re-format this and set up from scratch.
A colleague is already dealing in Terra bytes, don't think that there is a next one...whatever shall we do?

Ha! Cracked the password, got Outlook Express back. Set myself up as a second "administrator", and from there completely wiped out the previous owner's details, files, and powers. Cleaned up all the crasp from the HD, ran full de-fragment and full virus check.
Speed of light, a cloud of dust and Mr. Silverheels is magic now. Avery's site works perfectly with my up-dated browser and all the others are MUCH faster. I feel a "reward" coming on after 4 days effort...maybe even a label.

Typing au frigo or en route to frigo.

Anyone seen Clash of the Titans (2010). Could take Fred this evening, but could stay in and watch Ashes to Ashes. Guess which is preferable?

Sweet kid, Ba. I expect you'd say "succulent".

The bubbly is in the frigo and, as it's 18.30 (despite this site lying to me) I'm allowed to go and get it now.

Not only are you allowed to, you're encouraged to. Tasting note, please.

(in moderation, clearly)

I can resist everything except temptation. She said that she was cold and could I warm her up. So I put her in the microwave for 30 secs on 900.
She drank most of my wine, fell asleep drunk and was missing this morning...so was my wallet.
