I got a runner up prize today. A magnum of Bollinger Special Cuvee. Right, now you all have to come to Stroud to enjoy it. Alternatively, I just send it to shez, since he did all the work (please don't make me do that). What about a Saturday lunch in Stroud, everyone brings a bottle and some food contribution. Beds available for the sake of driving. |

I really like the idea of getting together and having a meal/drink/chat. Truth is, Im a lazy git when it comes to this stuff. The thought of the five hour round jouney has me running for my shed in terror and making polite excuses. Plus, you could all be really weird. I will look into train services, I can always sleep on the return journey, or on Mel's sofa. |

I have spare beds, and I'm not weird. Train is a good plan, then you can read and "enjoy" the journey. |

thanks for the invite Mel but like GK I'm pretty lazy too... (actually I'm not really but ground clearance for a 300 mile round trip/weekend away is a bit tough for me to swing without the rest of the gang in tow) Glad to hear all our hard work wasn't in vain tho (that Bordeaux vintage question had me experiencing sleepless nights !  )hopefully the rest of the gang who are a bit more local can join you to celebrate it. |

Are there any takers. If not, then I'll drink the Bolli for my birthday. Not a problem, but thought I should share it with the workers. Strange that I was a runner up and not Shez. I answered a bit promptly and then you lot seemed to get an answer right that I'd sent in wrong. Would be interesting to know how many entered. Will investigate. |
