Looks like Med ..... Languedoc and Roussillon style architecture ?

The spanish / north African / Mediteranean style roofs don't need much slope....rain is infrequent.

I thought it was Lacoste. Not quite. Bottom half of Asterixland I reckon.

It's very big for S France. Non certainly sounds French. Oh, hold on a minute, is it the place they make "Les Douze" hence the hysterically funny clue in the title.

Yeah I have been chasing ghoosts with the "clue". It's not the Fitou of that name.

Yep I've been to Les Douze this morning - not found anything other than many other Fitou labels. So moved to Languedoc.

There are many different labels for the Mont Tauch (Les Douze) producer at Fitou, but not this one.

velvety Douze - b*gger. Snooze time.

There's no clue in the title, its slang for a large number you can’t recall.

Clue? It was the Monks that started it.

All the first vineyards in climates capable of growing grapes of a reasonable quality, all over the world, were planted by the MONKS .... duh.

That's a duff clue

And yes, there is not a Chateauneuf Papal wine with that label design.

It could be new Mexico - the monks were there as well as all over California.

The trees in the pic have a Van Gogh look about them.

The benedictine monks were all over the Lanquedoc.

I'm busy now GK, over to Ba & Mel

The vineyard only recently changed hands, but I accept the clue is still very vague.

This should narrow the field- An organic red.

Yea...bring back Bacchus.

Spier 07.

If NZ sb turns vegetal after 2 years can you imagine what a cheap SA sb that tasted like a compost heap to begin with will taste like.

You've no class.

Sounds good to me, concentrated compost, yum.

You can keep your confected, homogenized NZ gut rot.

Hugh Johnson was spot on when he said- Sauvignon Blanc is a weed that should be eradicated.

Probably whilst drinking a glass of Western Cape Vintners Compost Heap Cuvee.
