Won a bottle of this in the local pub quiz... Hm,,, not in CellarTracker DB -- unusual Seems this brand is exclusive to Mitchels & Butler, a company that owns a great number of bars, pubs and restaurants under various brand names. Back label says Produced by Alberta Wines No trace on web of Alberta Wines -- but label gives an address 68 Anzac Street, Challora, NSW which just happens to be the address of HQ of McWilliams Wines - www.mcwilliams.com.au Label says Imported by VSP 13th Floor Marble Arch Towers, 55 Bryanston St W1H 7AA No trace of VSP There's a serviced office company at Marble Arch Towers but can't find if they are on the 13th Floor So who is VSP ?? |

Not registered at Companies House - that VSP office is a company secretarial letter box |

Gawd blimey........this is a bit obsessive for a pub wine. I don't know about the quality of Australian pub Shiraz but if it's anything like Australian pub chardonnay the thing to do if you're unfortunate enough to win one is open - take sip - swear loudly - spit -pour rest of bottle down sink - wait until dark and put empty bottle in neighbours bottle bin. I saw Sherlock Holmes this evening. Very good, loved the recreation of old London. Must of cost millions to set up the dock scenes |
