Post subject:  Bonserine '98

A pal has just "found" this and drank it tonight. He bought some when rec'd by our old Somerfield colleague. Says it was pleasant enough but wouldn't pay todays Rotie prices. Has a little viognIer in it!!!!!

He was Unlucky - a goodish vintage and tannic enough for the medium haul.

A little Viognier in the cuvee is correct and classic.

I love Cote Rotie. Peppery hot stones concentrated Syrah, a splash of viog to slipper, a twist of animal brett to excite - usually Bl**dy lovely.

Does he normally like Rotie or Cornas style stuff.
