I am assumimg that you've made you suggestions, in your mind at any rate, to celebrate the Event. I imagine that GK has something rather more powerful in mind Yet Ba, since you are Mr Fawkes this week, what say you ? |

Great choice GK - '05 St. Joe - I've drunk all mine now, maybe one left in boxes below the top. Lovely liquorice root note in that one. I thought it was quite early maturing for an 05, also got mine at less 30% promotion. I did not find it tannic, quite dark GK. I didn't think the fruit was going to evolve much more some 6 months ago. For the discounted dosh - A snip I have a Petite Puy Mouton experiment to crack - will let ya know later |

It goes berzerk round here, sometimes with an organised display on the docks. Both my dear doggies hated it, so I would poodle off to a country pub with them as soon as the sound pollution started. Sadly they both passed away within 3 months of each other last year so now I just close the windows, insert the motor-racing earplugs and use headphones for the tv. Pretty, pretty, sparkle, fountain fine..bang, Bang, BANG, I loathe. |

Love them but have been hard at it all day - see Tasting Notes - and am just off to get my jamas on and cook supper, then watch something from the vast list in Sky +. Also, it's raining in stroud. |

And the reason for the Blossom Hill Winery pic? Are you having a breakdown? |

It's MY breakdown and you can't have it. It's in the computer actually, a ****** phyllox has crawled in somehow and I've spent all afternoon failing to get rid of it. Thresherman tells me that he is being stampeded and that if I want more I'd better hurry. Practice matches for a national comp this evening so will call in en route. |

As a wine lover, I am sorry that the stampede to your friend's store, Mr Thresherman, will ultimately lead to financial distress for him. I dont know how the franchisees can resolve such a situation. Being totally independant is a way forward, but surely your mate would have been even more vulnerable to the big players, if he had bought the stock from the First Quench Administrators. The Rent probably hasn't been paid for a month, and landlords always want 3 months in advance when a new owner takes over the premises. |

Got the bug(ger) at last, 'twas hidden in a toolbar which had downloaded without me knowing. Done a full deep anit-v scan, a full reg sort-out and defrag this morning. Much better now. I need a drink...Rodeeeeeen, Rodeeeeeen ! Thresherman is an ex business mngr with la arge bank. I think that he has a decent accountant and solicitor. Shut down the shop last night for good, and (I believe) is filing bankrupt tomorrow. |
