Would have forgotten, thanks.

Looks like Alsace, or something German?? Beaune at a pinch.

Sanding done, half the varnishing done. Everything hurts. Had a bath and now it's just me, some dry oloroso, a pork shank (Tesco, not home braised) and Simon, Danny and Sheryl.

Heaven.

The iconic architecture, that we associate with the beauty and yet ease (excluding servicing a bank overdraft) for the pleasure of one of the world's luxuries.

The timber bracing as shown in Ba's choice of clock Tower is very close the design of the Hotel-Dieu.

So Ba, knowing you are a white wine drinker, have you ever been in the lucky postion to have have enjoyed a white Beaune, such as Clos des Mouches or similar 1er blanc ? What did you think ?

Hey, where is everybody? I'm up to the neck in a county championship final, just settled them down again after tea. Mentally preparing for Giennois.
Basic Chalon, Macon yes, regularly, but nothing "great". Best was a LJ Mersault that I was given one Xmas. There's always the lottery though, or Ernie, or the pools...one day, just maybe.

Exactly, a very quiet afternoon. County championship final?

All varnishing finished. I CANNOT WAIT to be able to re-organise the whole dining room/home office/filing/bookshelves.

Oh my goodness, my new bookshelves are so pretty. Right, I'm going to attempt to upload a picture of them using useful instructions. May take some time.

*Burp* Im stuffed. Slow roast chiken, roasties, cabbage and the first roast parsnip of the year, pulled up this morning. Delicious. No wine today, just a couple of Badger Ales. The little one is at Grans for a couple of days, wife is camped on sofa watching Ugly Betty.

Now for some....

Ba, where did your team come in the ranking ?

Haven't played for years, so forgotten the scoring convention.

** Does this score mean that the opposition were trumpted ?

I wasn't playing, I'm officious, sorry official. My other godship. The officious, pedantic facetiousness comes from 30 yrs of handing down the law to thousands of ungrateful bridgeurs. The ** is just a gap. It's an all-play-all event, and the gap is where your team no. on the x-axis crosses same on the y-axis. It would show as a clear diagonal line if the left column was in numerical order rather than rank. Howsabout old english spangles?
