Just spent a bit time on there whilst things are quiet at work. Usually I go there to read tasting notes but thought I'd have had a go at uploading the contents of my cellar on there. Pretty useful really as can regualrly check independant tasting notes & scores and gives guideline on what timeframe the wine is best drunk (according to reviewers I assume) Yes, I know you can keep a spreadsheet or list at home but there's less chance of me losing it here. Also prevents me uneccessarily opening cupboard door and moving bottles about to check up on what I've got under the stairs. Still need to create a couple of bottles that aren't listed. Think I have to review the number of single bottles I currently have |

Think I have to review the number of single bottles I currently have Tell me about this Shezza, I did Google the Cellar Tracker, and all sorts of stuff came up, including a superb blog by Alder, where he attempts to describe a Hospices de Beaune 1961. Pages of very high quality prose, an ethereal and sublime account of his love for this wine. He is a Cote d'Or lover, so I knew where his heart was when he wrote that piece. Now back to business - Please post a link here, to where you go on this site, so I may appreciate what you have been doing there. Email a link if it is under another posting identity. I have decided to hold some of my beauties, inflation, and the Chinese and Japanese buying fine wines has pushed the price in the UK. Sadly I have consumed many of them in the last 10 years, thinking it is possible that they may fade. During the crunch, I passed up an affordable wood case of 6 Hospices Volnay 1er parcels of '02 - Mitans & Les Orme, oh yes, a beautiful Hospices box as well, because I was short at the time - What a fool I am, it could now be safely tucked away here. Cheers for now, looking forward to your link. I am enjoying the last of the Forrest Estate 2007 MSB "Stonewall" whilst I write, so I am in a very happy with the wine, but very sorry that the case is finished The miidle palate of '07 Stonewall is very delicious. |
