The "pill" is a plastic coated metal slug, and there is a magnet in the base. As used in labs to stir liquids. |

Some yrs ago Anthony W-Thompson used to review kitchen gadgets on his show. He had a metal rectangular device which was placed on top of whole sandwiches and had a slot into which the knife was put in order to cut the sandwich. It works, he said, but I've had my own for ever...it's called a hand. |
