Last year I was buying dog food in Lidls when I spotted something in the wine section. A piece of cardboard was carrying a hand-written price of £3.99. Beneath it were bottles of 4 yo Chateau Lieujean. Estate bottled Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc (between Estephe and Pauillac). Had they left a "1" off the front, had it been frozen or boiled? Bought one, gave it a couple of days to settle and by golly it was "right". Went to three branches the next day to empty the shelves and found not one solitary bottle. Aaaarrrggghh.
