It’s a deep red that has ripe cherry, violets, chocolate, and a hint of minerality and a touch of oak on the nose and palate. “Creamy, warm, full-bodied and soft – lots to get stuck into and lots to like,” says Guibert. Amazing that this PN has all those notes when not evolved, still 2008 Chile is 6 months ahead of us Inquiring minds want to know ! - So whose tried it then - Mel, you're a PN lover, avec moi Thanks for the link....Found the Keith Floyd article there as well - We have really thumbed up and well fingered Floyd on Fish and Floyd on France. When he was at the peak of his career, I was always defending Keith, yeah, when loads of boring souls were moaning about his wine boozing and oyster indulgence, sea bass on Pernod fuelled coals and loads of wacky stuff. Now, they say he was truely original and quite brilliant, nodding sagely - Bl**dy typical. After Keith, I learnt to chop-off those rock oysters on the coast near Quimper for free, bu*ger those rediculously expensive Whitstable sand things ! Now, the've all been had. |

Hear, hear, he's a one-off. Had a chic restaurant here some years ago. I just hope that the glasses don't melt where he's gone. |
