Gread minds GK........Yeah, I'm asking the same question ?

Choice number 14 noted as ASDA white, calls into question the accuracy of the Decanter Awards. The Indy don't proof read their own articles, Oh well

Talking about bargains:

Sunday Times wine club were doing from their list, a random mid week phone around recently, and offered me a 15 bottle case of Australian hefty reds for less that £60 including delivery, being naturally suspicious, I asked why ? They said it was their 40th Anny. Anybody get that call ?
I'd say the web site multi bottle price was about £118, retail in the shops much more.
I will list the wines if anybody wants to be wound up

My office landline is also my private line per BT. Whist I get a lot of nuisance calls, this one was very well received.

We deduce from this, that whilst supermarkets jacked up the price for impromptu store singles and then found slow sales during June and July/Aug, there are now cash flow problems for higher volume full case business. Folks who went on expensive hols, are not buying wines in bulk at the mo !

Yeah, dont forget, salaries in the Eurozone have been rising, and Sterling has fallen 20%

Sterling went down the plug, when the Brown and Darling went for Quantatative Easing. The only folks they have helped are those who went mad with credit cards and overcooked their mortgages and business development loans, and stupid investments.

The penalty for folks and businesses who were sensible over the last 5 years is the one we face now  Kinda makes you angry. We got sucked in to the GWB superficial economy across the pond !

Friends all over mid and southern France, say things are very OK.

Good URL, GK. When worldwide money rates start rising, that bomb ticks faster, and the numbers will run-up like mad :x
