Even us ‘plonkers’ are allowed to push the boat out over the Christmas period, what have you got lined up for the big day?

In no particular order…(and will probably last a few days)

Beer.-
Rosey Nosey winter ale, Aldi.

Wine.-
Meursault, Le Meurger ‘02
Domaine Bunan Bandol ’02 M&S (have had this lying around for a couple of years now)
Domaine Pascal Maillard ‘05 Chorey-lès-Beaune

Fortified.-
Warres’s LBV 92
Tesco Finest Manzanilla (very good for the price)

Other.- (for guests)
Home made Sloe Gin
Punch- Cava with pomegranate juice and lime (vodka optional)

Fizz.-
Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Rose NV – a gift, I cant stand the stuff.

:)

Beer - Leffe Ambre or Rosey Nosey

White Wine - Haven't made my mind up on White yet, maybe Montes Alpha or Casa Lapostolle Chardonnay.

Red Wine - Aldi CNdP, Beaune 1er Cru 2000 Les Marconnets, Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru 2001, Clos de Los Seite.

Sparkling - Cremant de Bourgogne Veuve Ambal, really expensive stuff at 4.5 Euros a bottle, may have to lock the cellar :)

Sweet - St Amandus Beeren Auslese Aldi 3.99, this will do the trick with a light dessert.

So much wine, but so little time.

Beer.-

We bought some real ales from an olde worlde food fayre in Cowbridge.

Just in case they aren't as good as we thought they were when we tasted them we'll get a few cases of Kronenbourg.

Kronenbourg is made in Alsace.....but tastes nothing like gewurztraminer.

Wine.-

Vacheron Sancerre 2006

Chatelain Pouilly Fume 2006

Fortified.-

I have no idea what you're talking about

Other.- (for guests)

Jacob's Creek Sparkling Chardonnay/Pinot Noir ( for cheapskates who refuse to buy Champagne but insist on bubbles before dinner )

Punch-

We usually manage to get through Christmas without punching anyone

Fizz.-

See above

Sweet -

Cadbury's Roses
