VM Clifford Bay 13 beforehand. . . . . but that's wine for ya

You were right Shez, I checked, all my Clifford Bay was 2013, and from Sainsbury's on the multi buys this year.

BTW you can find, and then see Bob Cambells top 100 MSBs on his site for vintage 2014, this is in a list of names form without his written notes, and without paying the subscription. So, that could help the decision process . . . . . . . .

Glad to hear it GK
Often the case that we pick up a bargain but just never enough. I missed on all the Max reserva offering they released. The carmenere and Merlot were both appealing

Some good double dip potentials
Some that would particularly suit GK like Trivento reserve Malbec and Vina Mara Rioja reserva. Both currently £6 so £4.50 as part of a multi buy

That is a super price for the Trivento reserve, which is a decent Malbec. Being greedy, and knowing how impressed I was with the next step up, did you see any of the Golden Reserve malbec from Tivento ?

Cheers for that Shez,

Majestic are fighting back with their 33.3% off champagne, this week-end

Thanks for that info Shez, I believe I've tried the golden twice, and this must have been from those fine dining clearance cases I scored a while back from Twbtc. That explains why. My big T Superstore has been dumbing down a wee bit, I asked because you see things in your neck of the woods that do not gather dust here, or have never been on the shelf here.

In the good ole days here, I scored some of this - 4 bottles: Poliziano (Asinone single vineyard), Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2009.
Opened one on Thursday - Magic, wonderful, just ready, cuts the palate beautifully - deep and elegant, heady nose, a sexy lady. Best Italian wine this year for me.

Great news! I scored 3 of those myself back when you bought yours. Had been meaning to try one so am happy to hear a positive review from you. Shame I didn't buy more at the time by the sounds of things, instead I bought some of the Fattoria 2007 Chianti rufina riserva that was also on bin end at the time
