The sancerre at mine was a double dip (as is online) but there weren't any in the shelves
Puilly fume was a tenner too and then with the 25% chopped off that when part of 6 but I didn't get any....

Maybe a pricing error at the store I called in at today then. I was pretty certain it was prior to that.

Goose reckons the PF is past it, so probably for the best.

Good call Shez. I just got back, put the wine away safely in vacant slots and went out to the office.

The 5% for six + 20% discount for Festival was running at 00:23 this morning. There was a debacle of a soft nature in store, when the bar code for the soapy chablis Domaine Baillard was not recognised. I did a deal to get the extra discount after midnight, but as it happened, the till was still programmed for the wine festival.

I have therefore bought back the chablis for a conversation with the Wine club on 0845 677 5577. They can collect the remaining bottles from my home now. My receptors were over agile with this 3rd bottle of soapy Baillard tonight - and drove me out of my stupour to the store.

I bagged:-
2 x TF Sancerre '08 as instructed by you lot - £6.96 each
1 x Grey Ghost '08 - just couldn't resist the last one again for £8.88 !
1 x Sancerre Grand Cuvee '08 La Chaudoullonne Maison Fournier £8.88 !
1 x Chateau de Lussac '02 Lussac Saint-Emilion £8.31 last one again
1 x La Chasse '09 reserve CDR bottle number 00112 (among the 14000's) £5.85

I was quite pleased, I will let you know what eventually happens about the Baillard refund. I have a hunch that it is going to be shifted in store for a fiver fairly soon. Hence the bar code problems, we'll see.

The Pouilly Fume' was the 2009 vintage here in the mega store, and there was mountains of it. I didn't bag any, for the risk of a ordinary Loire SB wearing a fancy jacket.

As Mr Goose says, they can be disappointing (diplomatic speak) and there will be someone who gives it a go

Sadly, I visited my most local store which doesn't have a fine wine section but I was very tempted to pay a visit to a more distant location which does have FW shelves to try and nab some Grey ghost & Stockman Station.
The desire to get some sleep overruled however
