In Morrisons this morning, 25% off x6 bottles.

Two I like the look of -
http://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/ ... _SHELFVIEW
-£4.49 after discount.

http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/ ... =278363743
-£6.49 in Mozzys before discount, £4.86 after.

That's £28 for six fairly robust reds for next winter.

Any takers?

Pretty good, They don't get better than that for the asking.
If I were in, as a punt, I'd probably take the Syrah. That Malbec 'as gonna need some aging for my preferences. If they drink good, a great inflation beater.

For old sports and all sorts, the chilean Syrah has a cork - Nice  . Good find GK. Have you tried either of them ?

Paid Morrisons a visit on Saturday. Didn't see your two suggestions
They did have Trivento reserve Malbec reduced to about £5.50 do I pick one if these up for my dad along with a rueda
The reduced to clear didn't have many interesting options but I found a vasse Felix cab merlot for 7.98 and a montes alpha 2010 for 8.98
To make the remaining 6 I've given 2 bottles of the st stephan's crown tokaji p5 a go. 2005 & 2008 vintages. These bumped up the spend a bit but it still Came in at just over £40

Hi Shez,

Any mix of 6 is generally a satisfying purchase, and defeats the online offers for 25% off when you are topping up or fancy a few novelties

That is a nice little flutter for £40. I would definitely go for the the Vasse Felix and I feel that 2010 Montes Alpha is likely to be good. Three of each for me, please. From my experience of the few I've tried, the chilean PN harvest was good (not baked), so I'm presuming that MA Cab would follow suit.

Worth the visit for sure.

Isnt that the one in my link above?

I was in again this morning a grabbed a couple of bottles from the clearance shelf, Astrale -
http://31.222.134.229/content/astrale-750ml-0981703

A Primativo / Montepulciano blend with some dried grapes thrown in.

Its a NV, sounds interesting but I thought I'd try it first. Reduced to £4.99, anyone familiar with it?

Thanks for the link GK, the wine looks to be rather interesting with that Amarone redex additive. I just had a quick flick through their gallery.

Vintage 2009 on the label, but not in description. Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Marconnets 750ml

Did anyone see this wine in the stores ?. . . . Out of stock online, not surprising.

The '09 is good - to - extravagant / lush all over Beaune, and with the six bottle disco, works out at £12 per bottle ! Not bad eh ? I may pay a visit.
